Significant Meanings and Current Events

Jung referred to it as "Synchronicity". Metaphor News seeks to piece together significant current events and find the underlying theme. Very recently such events occurred:

1. Terri Schiavo controversy involves being allowed to die by being taken off feeding tube.
2. Pope John Paul II is put on a feeding tube at about the same time.

These two events can be linked together by the feeding tube element. However, what is the underlying theme? What message do we read from this? It could be:

A. Terri Schiavo's condition could happen to anybody, even the Pope.
B. The Pope was allowed to die peacefully when he insisted that he not go back to the hospital, whereas Terri Schiavo was not allowed to die peacefully.
C. Terri Schiavo died around Easter AND around the time of the Pope's death in order to draw attention to the subject.

Now, what if their was a Cosmic Consciousness, then it can be said that WE wanted to draw attention to the subject. All events listed on this website will normally analyze events that draw widespread attention.

Why Pay Attention to such Coincidences?

Not only Carl Jung, but other philosophers and "teachers" state that your own reality reflects your beliefs. One significant "teacher" was an entity called Seth, who spoke through writer Jane Roberts while in a trance. Rather than quickly dismiss this idea, this website seeks to pursue the possibilities that could help us learn about ourselves. Metaphor News will chronicle events and try to determine their cosmic significance under the premise that there is a message. One could ponder if there is a Television News Director, or a Newspaper Editor making up his or her own mind about what makes up the news, and thus pushing their own version of reality. Or, one could ponder if Nature has a consciousness and deliberately causes earthquakes and famous deaths to illustrate what our reality is to mankind. Whatever conclusions you might draw from these coincidences, use this web site to find insights on significant current events.


Other than Cosmic Consciousness, this website has no preconceived notions of a God from any religion being the driving force behind these events. However, discussion is encouraged to ponder Metaphysics as well as properties of Soul, Afterworld, ESP, etc. The purpose is to find knowledge when paying attention to significant events. Some events may prove a number of things, or even a contradictory message.

How to Determine a Metaphor

Three things (a coincidence) must happen to create metaphorical event.

1. Significant Event #1 Ex. Terri Schiavo is taken off feeding tube.
2. Significant Event #2. Ex. Pope John Paul II put on feeding tube.
3. Point of Time. Ex. The death of Terri Schiavo and Pope John Paul II occurred within a week of each other and around Easter.

Here, there are numerous "messages" to be read from this coincidence. They also involve George Bush, Florida, Republicans, and Judges. By delving deeper into the connections between these subjects, we can possibly determine how the mainstream population may tie these events together.
